My aim as a wedding photographer is to ensure that the couple's photographic hopes and aspirations are successfully realised in the most sympathetic and unobtrusive way. I try to achieve this by careful planning and consultation in an effort to build a rapport with the couple to ensure that the photography will be tailored to their requirements, making the whole experience more personal and enjoyable.
In recent years photographic style has become much more informal and relaxed. I still encourage a backbone of formal group shots - if I only have the back of Aunt Elsie's head in a photo when she has flown all the way from Australia, then everyone is in trouble!
